I REALLY used to hate this day. I've never had much luck with it. I've never had a birthday party in my entire life. Last year, I had a live in girlfriend and still didn't get laid on it because she was too lazy to wake up before 3pm when I left for work. I had one year where the only person to call me was my mom. Now it needs to be said that 99% percent of these problems are my own fault because I wouldn't get over my tough guy act and ever even mention to my friends that it was coming up.

I'm not bummed about it this year though. I don't expect/need much out of it so I'm not going to be disappointed as long as it isn't my last one. Who knows, maybe it will even turn out extra well. As I came home from work and pulled into the driveway at 1:30 am, I saw a shooting star. I wished for a cute girl to come visit and play on my neighbor's trampoline with me toples...Damn! I told you my wish. Now it won't come true! Oh well; for once, I'm still OK with this day.
