My realtor called me today and told me that the people who put in an offer on my house had gotten back the results from the inspection and had a list of things theyd like fixed before closing. This came as a great surprise to me because no one was supposed to even stop by my house without making an appointment first, much less go through every inch of the place with an inspector. No one had called me, they had just gotten very lucky and happened to do it while I was gone all day along with the dog, otherwise they wouldnt have survived the experience. Any way, Im furious that these people were nosing around my house while I was gone without checking with me first, so I told them that Im not willing to negotiate and dont even want to do business with them any more. My realtor wants to make the deal go through, but he doesnt understand. This isnt a bluff. Someone else will buy it sooner or later. I can afford to wait. I cant afford to let people walk all over me. I realize that Im being an unreasonable hard head, but Im a very big principle person, and thats just who I am.
