I went to see a friend's show on friday . . .
It was Aroarah, Panic Button, Anne Ramsey , and Wounds. Not a bad show . . . not great either. I actually reviewed it for the local art & music paper. Which makes me kind of feel like a poser. At least I didnt make up for my insecurity by referencing obscure bands, so I am not a complete tool.
On Saturday I went to Power to the Peacefull, which is always awsome. This year's line up:Spearhead, Jean Grae, Saul Williams, Anti-Flag, Zap Mama, J-Boogies Dubtronic Science. and also speakers: Angela Davis, Woody Harrelson, Robert Greenwald (filmmaker - Outfoxed, Wal-Mart), Rev. Cecil Williams (Glide Church), Paul Rieckhoff (opTruth.org), Tim Goodrich (Iraqi Vets Against The War).
Sunday I stopped in on an accustic set of a friend's at a little cafe. The little cafe was packed though, which was great for my friend, having a packed house at noon on a sunday for a solo acustic set is awsome.
