It's raining. Alot. Flood warnings are hogging up my TV screen. Wheres Noah when you need him? I used to work at grocery store, we used the term "Noah" for certain types of shoppers who would either only purchase things in pairs or purchase one of every flavor.
----------------------------------
All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets. I go all over. I take people to the Bronx, Brooklyn, I take 'em to Harlem. I don't care. Don't make no difference to me. It does to some. Some won't even take spooks. Don't make no difference to me.
-----------------------------------
I took a drive to lthe library to grab some CDs to rip. On the way I saw three lightpost knocked down. Way too far apart to be one accident. Can this weather do that? The one closest to my apartment went down about a month ago. The smashed glass is stil in the street. I drive over the glass everyday. I dont even swerve anymore - I enjoy the crunching glass. Lately as the glass gets finer and finer I have had to open my window to be able to hear the crunching better.

I so enjoy the onset of spring. Especially being woken up at 4:20 AM by the chorus of birds gangbanging each other outside by window. I thought it was odd the 4:20 part - but I was never one to smoke much. These birds could use a few tokes. I'm tempted to poison them. But I won't.

Chirping all morning, sirens all day. There goes another firetruck. There can't be enough rain to need to evacuate people yet, I think. I'm not going to find out. I'm on the third floor. I'm staying put. I've got enough laundry to keep me busy for awhile.

I just finished my third load of only boxers. Perhaps I own too many pair. I actually havent done any laundry in almost 2 months. Considering I only have about 30 pair of boxers -you can do the math. So yeah I've been freeballing it. Not particularly proud. Women do it all the time. I'm chaffing though. Here is a pictur eof every pair of underwear I own:

2 rows x 3 columns x 5 deep = 30 pair of boxers

When you dont do laundry for almost 2 months this is what happens (mind you there is a load in the washer and in the dryer as I took this picture, and the underwear have already been filed away):

I have too many t-shirts I need to get rid of at least 20. I dont think I can do it. Maybe I'll put them in a box in the attic. I wish I could wear more of them instead of buttondown collars and khaki pants. Actually I dont mind dressing up for work - but I feel bad for the shirts.
------------------------------------
When the night shows
The signals grow on radios
All the strange things
They come and go, as early warnings
Stranded starfish have no place to hide
Still waiting for the swollen easter tide
Theres no point in direction we cannot even choose a side.

I took the old track
The hollow shoulder, across the waters
On the tall cliffs
They were getting older, sons and daughters
The jaded underworld was riding high
Waves of steel hurled metal at the sky
And as the nail sunk in the cloud, the rain was warm and soaked the crowd.

Lord, here comes the flood
Well say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent
In any still alive
Itll be those who gave their island to survive
Drink up, dreamers, youre running dry.

When the flood calls,
You have no home, you have no walls
In the thunder crash
Youre a thousand minds, within a flash
Dont be afraid to cry at what you see
The actors gone, theres only you and me
And if we break before the dawn, theyll use up what we used to be.

Lord, here comes the flood
Well say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again, the seas are silent
In any still alive
Itll be those who gave their island to survive
Drink up, dreamers, youre running dry.
- Peter Gabriel

The pope is dying as I type this. I feel some sense of sadness. Why? I don't know. ex-Catholic guilt i suppose.

grrryphon:
I heart that Peter Gabriel song. love Lyrically, it doesn't get much better than that. Wow, good one to pull out of the hat. Mad props, Scrantonian.

So RAFTH is not really passing up Philly. They live here and they've got a few irons in the fire. There are a lot of great bands coming thru here right now though so stay tuned, I'm sure they'll be able to jump onto one of those shows.

Hey, it's a new day! Not so rainy, huh? Your journal inspired me to try and dig up that Peter Gabriel CD (Us, my favorite) alas, I think I lost it long ago.

However, I got online and learned how to play "Washing of the Water" on my guitar, which is almost better, because now I can sing it anytime I like. That's an amazing song. Thanks for reminding me of that CD!
