And I'm so number one that it's a shame
That you let other numbers in the game.
- Mirah, "Cold Cold Water"
Amazing track.
Decided to very casually "check out the sales today," and came home with many new clothes and some art for my room. It's a good thing I'm earning British pounds now...
It's a bit frightening how satisfying shopping has become for...

Good points. I could literally trash everything I own and take off to any place in this world. So, I guess you hit the jackpot with that one.

I finally had my first surreal "small world" moment since arriving in London.
Last night I went to see The Dears play at a club night at the Mean Fiddler in Soho...great show, despite it being a little half-hour set (their 'real' gig is tonight at ICA and has been sold out for awhile). My British friends were all fireworked out and tired, so I...

Yeah she is a good old bird, that song means a lot to me
"The street becomes a dwelling for the flneur; he is as much at home among the facades of houses as a citizen is in his four walls. To him the shiny, enamelled signs of businesses are at least as good a wall ornament as an oil painting is to the bourgeois in his salon. The walls are the desk against which he presses his notebooks;...

Dateline: LONDON!
Made the big move after a fantastic time on my way out of Canada with friends in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa. Now looking at flats (loving Gumtree), using my umbrella, and trying to find a footing with work.
So. London. Yes. They tell me I've moved here.
Tomorrow I'm going exploring.

cool! best of luck with the job hunt and stuff. If you see anyting interesting, send it my way!
I've applied for my work visa and I'm buying my ticket next week, so I think it's official: I'm off to London, England. I'll be leaving Edmonton in September and hitting the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal axis on my way out of the country.
Cool.
Except that I don't really, er, like England, I just couldn't refuse the job offer. Well, no time to learn like the present...

No problem with the whole staying in the canwest group! Not everyone in it has to be from western canada.
Saw Bubba Ho-Tep over the weekend, which only fueled my desire to see more frivolous movies which involve fighting the undead. (Dawn of the Dead, I'm lookin' at you. Sarah Polley will be mine!)
Meanwhile, school/work/intarweb/life continues to be a crazy headtrip, though lately it's crazy-good. Which is nice.
How are you?

I suddenly seem to have some really cool re-location opportunities coming up. So:
