So out of sheer unmitigated boredom...
i went to my male's DnD game. I chit chatted a bit with the players, was educated on the difference between demons and devils (that'd be lawful evil opposed to chaotic evil) and ate curry that i'd made and brought to share.
DM: you see an 4 sided oblolisk... etc... [long story short, 3 sides contained silly religious fables and the last instructed the players to touch the thing and say which they believed was true]
Theif: i touch it and say "the third story"
DM: [describes serious injury to the theif]
all players: [confusion ensues, chatter about what to do... which story is true... etc]
me: none of them! just say none of them are true!!
wizard: should we? [to other players]
all players: [chatter until consensus is achieved]
wizard: i touch the obolisk, and say "none of them"
DM: that was the correct answer. [continues with storyline]
me: oh god!!! did i just play DnD!?!
all: [laughter]
me: i feel dirty now...
[calls friend who picks her up. they go get trashed and mary feels like herself again]
