although it is pretty cool that now I'm in an o-fficial professional honor society for engineers. it means nothing but something to add on your CV but still it's pretty cool. I embrace this, because yay.

ack everything. well not really. i wrote the above in a very drained/burned out state-of-mind last night. i just have so many things on my plate right now, it can get a little overwhelming, especially given that I'm probably not where I should be, I'm pushing myself way beyond what is noraml, but what the hell I'm a masochist.

watched a WICKED cool UFO series of specials on the History channel (go figure) and for once i wasn't totally annoyed (except where they call Stanton Freedman a Nuclear Physicist, although when he talks about the actual UFO stories, he knows his shit). Granted the...

oh man i used to work at this new age retreat center, and one week a year they would have a seminar by whitley striber, the guy who wrote communion. and for that week the place wasm crawling with folks who claimed to have been abducted. but we couldn't call them abductees, because they didn't like that term. we had to refer to them as "experiencers". also, during that week, i sat in on a big group discussion that was supposed to be about debunking conspiracvy theories, but ended up being a bunch of "experiencers" sitting around talking about how their dentists had put inplants in their teeth so that aliens could track them. i swear.

I fluctuate between saying "I want to settle down and get married" to "Gah I need my space leave me alone World". Right now it's been a long day so I might be opting towards the latter, but I know that all told, I'm really easing into being okay with the marriage thing. I mean, it IS a pretty cool idea, being that committed to...

Having been married (*gasp* - actual personal history details exposed! I feel kinda dirty) I in retrospect think quite a lotof things about it were conceptually great, but it had nothing to do with the formality or even teh standard conceptual trappings. Deeply sharing someone's company in profound and connected ways can be fucking awesome - and it can be damn frustrating and challenging... but to me, exploring that balance and seeing the world through those shared eyes is what relationships are all about. The actual details and structure is in the end joust another facet of it to explore.

Congrats are in order then. I know I am ready to expore intimacy with someone that can head into serious/scary directions, but I am def. not ready to really be considering places that have Looong term in them.

I def. can appreciate that feeling of accomplishment when you can even start to consider an idea abstractly as something that someday could be a good thing. For me its the kidlet issue. I used to be overwhelmingly adamadntly no-kid... now I can actually think about the concept fondly and think 'yah I could see that someday' ...

wow definitely a weird kinda day. i mean, you wake up, you realize you want to stay in bed, and instead you NARROWLY avoid freaking out via road rage and are all cranky. so, having the emotional range of an infant when it comes to food (cranky OR euphoric) you go for a BK breakfast that is horrible but wonderful (best kind) and nurse some...
