Cancer v. Marsh aka Team Andy
One of the 2L's from last year was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma the day before final exams started. He is now living in Maine, but has to travel back and forth to Boston for treatment.
So, students in the law school have started a fund raiser to help pay for his medical bills. One of the guys has a friend who runs a printing shop, so they got "Team Andy" t-shirts printed at a discount. The local bar, Gillary's, where he was a regular, is hosting our fund raiser tonight. A portion of all of the drinks that are sold tonight from everyone that enters the bar goes to the fund. We sold tickets for food. Most of the teachers and some of the students have donated items for a silent auction. Almost all of the teachers will be there as well to help incite donations. When some of those guys start talking, you'd gladly pay to get them to stop!
So, that is where I will be tonight. In about an hour I'll go to one of my mates house and have a drink, then we'll walk down as a group.
This should be a most excellent evening.
