Well...not all is well today, lads and lasses.

Somehow...using great skill, cunning, and of course quite a bit of charisma, I managed to dislocate my ankle....again...

However, what sickens me is that I managed to do it while getting out of bed.

Yup...I dislocated my ankle getting out of bed.

I'll pause here to let you laugh.













Good? Ok.

Well, my normal wake up routine includes a bit of stretching. When I wake up, I like to stretch out my hips and back, seeing as how I am already lying on my back. Then, I'll swing my legs about, and spring to my feet, where I'll stretch my legs, shoulders, upper back, etc. . Well, apparently I sprung a wee bit too enthusiastically. I managed to come down on my right ankle at a bit of an angle, and dislocated it.

Now, for those of you who have not dislocated an ankle, there is a pretty big difference between spraining your ankle and dislocating it. The difference lies in the pain. While spraining your ankle results in a sharp pain and some ache, dislocating it results in a sharp pain the turns into a sharp pain with a throbbing ache. Fun times.

So, I put it back in place, iced it a bit, then wrapped it to keep it stable until the stretched tendons or whatever tighten back up a bit.

In the end, what is a bit of pain in the scheme of things? Not too much, I hope. If I keep this up, by the time I'm 30 there won't be much left of me.
