Had a great night out in Dublin last night. D1 Records hosts some good Detroit style parties here, and Paris of The Detroit Grand Pubahs was here last night. Small basement club with brick walls, you know it was a sweatbox. I haven't danced like that since, well, since the last D1 night I was here for, with DJ Bone.
My clothes were soaked from sweat, some cute lil girl took my shirt off me so I was danciong half the night in my wifebeater. she even brought me a couple pints of water after watching me drink a dozen double JD & cokes. what a little goddess. too bad she got away after the night was over, before I could say hi and thanks.
Went off to the promoter's loft for a bit of afterhours, but Paris decided he was beat so he took off in a cab back to the hotel. Had a couple drinks with the D1 lads then was home by a respectable 6am.
No idea what's on for tonight, but a couple girls I met were talking about a house party at some punk squat. not sure what the story is, I might chill tonight since tomorrow I have some business at the horse track.
