this weekend was fun, as I had the pleasure of my first SG visitor in Ireland, the lovely temptess. We had only exchanged a few emails when she was looking for people actually in Ireland (and not with fakey made-up locations like SOME of you have listed) but she bravely took my invitation for a weekend away from Dublin and into the REAL CAPITAL, Cork. I have no idea what she expected, but I do remember her surprise the first time she rang me and finally realized I was a Yank and not native to Eire. The weather was very spring-like, so I had had a bbq planned that afternoon, giving her a chance to meet a few of my friends and for us to chat a bit in the back garden. Off to a pub to see a band, then to another pub for some gatt, then at closing time, off to a nightclub. Only there a couple hours when my friend John got fucked out by the bouncers, for no discernable reason. Tess & I agreed it was time to go anyway, so I went to collect John's coat from coat check and rang a cab to collect us. Next day, I had off, since I work for myself and gave me the day off. Good thing too, cause I'm not sure how the day would have gone if I had to get up for anything in the early morning! Tess cooked brekky, using the bbq leftovers and some eggs, then we looked outside and noticed the col gray skies. We decided against the bus to Kinsale (a really cute coastal village nearby) but decided to go veg out in a cinema for a couple hours. after coffee and a munch and a nap, we headed into town again for another night on the piss, with more of my mates from www.thepeoplesrepublicofcork.com . An Brog was the pub, a fairly alt rock sort sort of place which is really my local, so it was very comfortable and fun. another late night, especially for those sorry suckers who had to wake up early for work again.

I suppose I should write a more professional reply tomorropw when sober?
