Having a drink watching a bad horror movie. By bad I mean awesome.
Batman was great. It was solid. I feel oddly about it. Both not let down at all and slightly let down. It was everything you could ask from it. I feel like I might have liked it better if I hadn't expected it to be true to the frank miller dark night and hush comics. If I hadn't expected it to be good batman I would have been more impressed. As it was I was like Awesome. Even if it was just bad action movie it might have gotten more of a visceral response. It was everything I expected which is kind of a let down only because there was no surprises.
It's weird.
It didn't follow the various comics I've read as closely as possible, but closely enough. Ledger was amazing. His Joker is at least as good as Jack's if not better. He might have an edge in that his was better written than Jack's. Or at least written more as the darkest batman. Clearly the best batman movie since The first. And by clearly I mean I think so. Argument ad ass holeum. You know this style of argument: Clearly it is the best bat man movie, since etc. As anyone can plainly see. Even someone who has no knowledge of the subj. Etc. By which I mean... I apologize for using the word clearly in that fashion.
It was good though. Everything was perfect. Batman's rasp I was even ok with. He can't really speak in his bruce voice to people he just talked to as bruce... you know?
Bruce was good. Batman was fine. Everyone loves Mr. Freeman. Two face was too good. Joker was just as crazy as he should have been. A great antibat.
I guess it could have been better. But I don't know how.

I thought The Joker was so fucking amazing and Aaron Eckhart was amazing as Two Face as well. I already can't wait for the next installation, ha.
