I enjoy politics, political expression, freedom of expression, etc. But this is not a good time to have an election for anything. No one is addressing the issues, and it seems no one has an idea of how to do so.

The liquidity crisis appears to be real, and causing contraction. Businesses are having trouble getting loans, which means they can't do things like build, invest in equipment, and the like. I ran into a woman at Blockbuster whose husband in the last two weeks had a large project held up because the company he was working for could not get a building loan.

I'm not sure why people can't unite. We've become spoiled by our successes.
