I'm happy because I found out that the referral from Mass Rehab is going to go through. My case worker's email is down, but he's going to fill out the paper work and I should be contacted by the employment referral guy within the week. He's going to see if there is anything available that he might be able to situate me into. I'm so excited because I've been waiting a long while for this. ALSO, I am in the process of checking out beauty schools so that I can get an idea of how much it will be to attend and hopefully start the paperwork of applying. I've checked out Blaine, and I'm going to check out Beauty Creator's Academy. I wasn't sure about beauty school at first, but then I visited one of them and I loved the studentsand teachers and found myself really interested in and excited about the whole thing. There are other creative's there!!! Lots!!! I know this may sound like an "of course!" to some of you, but I wasn't sure. Most of who I see are people who are not willing to take chances or be creative with hair. That's part of why I took to doing my own hair... because I couldn't find someone who would do it the way I wanted it.
I'm uber excited. Still not absolutely sure, but pretty sure it's what I want to do. People are hiring in that field. Maybe even with my tatts and piercings I would find a good job after I graduated. Short term plan? Work in retail full time, go to beauty school parttime, and after I graduate I would find a job at a cutting edge salon. Long term... maybe opening my own business and keeping up with the hobby of painting and drawing on the side and eventually start selling my artwork too. That would be cool. I don't know though. I've definitely got to try it before I find out if it will work. lol Hmmmmm. Maybe open up a salon/art gallery - salon in one part, art gallery in the other partitioned by a glass wall. I'd have tattoo art in the salon itself possibly, and more formal art and sculpture in the partition behind the glass wall. I'd have references where I'd have all the information for the tattoo and piercing places. lol It would be awesome, as long as it happened, eh?
Anyway, I'll definitely be doing something.
