i will meet you at the edge of the shadows beneath the trees,
where the light goes all green and syrupy and pours itself
into your smiling eyes
we'll sit beside the markers, and tell the warm breeze
stories of their lives.
i'll tell you i love you very quietly and when you look up and ask me
