They're benign bananas, for the most part. It's jsut that I feel like I'm shouldering all the stuff for this damn vacation and I do all this research for a trip to Paris and it turns out he doesn't even want to go there even though he suggested it in the first place! You are lucky you don't have to defend your thesis - it's a nerve-wracking thing to do. I had to defend my short story collection in grad school and I felt like I was interrogated. But it turned out fine and I had some beer with my professors afterward.
