I know, I know my name would suggest it and I am snobbish enough to write that "anything that makes me forget that I'm watching a movie" is my favourite film. That MUST mean I am a film guy...
I also post anywhere and everywhere the movies that people should see, especially when they are feeling well... anything:

...it is fucking AWESOME!
I never say this about movies like this but it's got all the things that make us indie film lovers go fuckin nuts: killer soundtrack (though not as obscure as I would have liked) Joan Cusack and it was directed by Richard Linklater (Waking Life, Dazed and Confused)...
Fuck man, this movie has it all on paper, but how would it stack up against a bullshit movie hating freak like me (Hello? Is ANYONE going to go see Radio? BULLSHIT DETECTOR GOING CRAZY
)
Anyways... it does pass the test, the fucker even manages to feel timeless (except for one reference to Christina Aguilera). It's great. The kids are great. The music is fucking great. And Joan Cusack, despite being much older now and playing a woman wound so tight she couldn't get knife in there still manages to peek through and deliver a sexy performance.
And what can we say for Jack Black? This man is a genius and no one knows it except his fans, which I'm sure will triple after seeing this well crafted piece.
Sure it's a formula, sure it's been done, but for my buck (or eleven and a half of them) School of Rock is worth it.
Love you all. I hope all you stick around despite the new site. I hate the fucker too, but we'll all get used to it...
