I figure Im doing pretty well.

I have my own apartment. I am my own boss (mostly). I am a geek who works on a sci-fi TV show. I get paid pretty well.

There are others however that are teaching me to love every fucking second of my life, no matter what it becomes:

My stepdad is dying one fucking day at a time. He's terminal. Cancer of the stomach. He's 49.

Y'see. Im actually okay with it. More than okay. We've all come to terms with his death, but have I come to terms with mine? I have never wanted to be more healthy in my life. Ive never wanted to say "yes" to hings I wouldnt normally say yes to more than anything in my life than I do right now.

I want to live a good full life and be around for a while.
