Driving into work today (Yeah, I'm a slave to the man) I saw a couple walking on the side of the road - a balding white man and an Asian woman holding hands and walking down the sidewalk.

I thought that was cute, it made my day.

Hey fools,

I've been at a loss for things to say recently. I've been kinda upset about various things going on in the world, but I am at a loss for intelligent social commentary - so here are the things that are bothering me today:

- Censorship of the Dixie Chicks
- Everyone's fat
- Penny Arcade might be getting sued
- Being confused about...

Hey, sorry I haven't answered your email yet...I WILL get to it, I've just been super busy. As to my takes on your aggravations, here they are:

- The Dixie Chicks bore me. I never mind when empty-headed pop stars try to make political statements and then get themselves in trouble.

- Who, me?

- Any particular penny arcade?

- I am no longer confused...I can see quite clearly the rat hole my life is going down.

- Yeah, true...but better us buulying them than the other way around.

- Did you just figure that out?

- Creativity has always been stifled. That's why it's always so impressive when somebody does something good.

- Most music sucks...but some is excellent. It's always been that way. Plus, what I think sucks is probably different than whta you thinks sucks. That's what makes the world go around.

- Trust me...no they are most certainly not! You just gotta know where to look. You seem like you'd be a good catch though.

- We are all dying, why worry about it?

- No more fucked up than we were as kids.

- No...science is the old religion...and that's as it should be.

- "Buzz Word" is a buzz word.

- Love it or leave it, baby!

- That is the cruel irony of life, my son.

I'm kinda happy today, actually...not pissed off at all.

Lol you're too much tongue And I'm glad you like my taste in music lol, most people just think I'm messed up! Usually I do think calling girls chicks is a little offensive because that says that girls are just little fluffy helpless things, blah! But I'll forgive you this time hehe wink

I've taken to doing this thing called exercise. Never heard of it? I'm not surprised.

I bought a road bike the other day, and now I'm riding it for about 40 minutes each day. It's hell on my legs, but I'm getting less exhausted each time.

So hungy. So hungy.

To go along with my biking, I've been eating less. No snacking, no soda (okay,...

I spent all weekend doing funness with a friend, so it definitely wasn't wasted. Thankfully I got Sunday all to myself and I was able to do my own thing. If I don't have at least one day of a weekend to myself, I feel as though I wasted it.

I'm working on an article for a magazine that Linz is putting together about the...

i dont have a preference really. my favorite mixed cd has magic carpet ride and paint it black along with cornflake girl and blister in the sun.
i really liked your comment on my journal. i still find science compelling but i'm still changing my major. i think i've had enough. i haven't mastered that logical type of thinking.

I actually got a lot of sleep last night. Went to bed early, woke up early. I recommend it, feels good.

Everywhere I look, people are sick of there jobs. My much more mature friend put it bluntly for me the other day : "Nobody likes to work for the man, but almost everyone does."

I guess this is how I am. I like working,...

Mynka asked me about my job too. Here's what I told her:
"My job? It is somewhat boring and not-at-all Suicidal so I rarely talk about it. I am the CFO (soon to be President, I hope) of a (soon to be hugely successful, I hope) start-up company. Please note the double "I hopes" when evaluating the current state of my career prospects. Now that you have this information, don't tease me about it, will 'ya?"
linz:
that sounds like exactly what i need. i am a night owl to the max, especially now that i've had the big 2-1.

Punkin Pah, Punkin Pah!

Today is a pretty good day. I just bought me a fancy-schmancy new hybrid bike. Specialized Crossroads Ergo Hybrid Sports bike with Kevlar "flak jacket" tire lining. It's a tough road bike that I should get a lotta miles out of.

It's all part of the plan, I'm sure, but there are a ton of new girls pouring in. Not that...

Wheee! I spent the weekend out with Emotion Eric. Him, my bro, and I went up to the Jelly Belly factory and Chic-fil-a (which I'm addicted to now... but I'll be damned if I'm driving an hour just for authentic chicken sandwiches), and I got a bajillion Jelly Bellies. Now I think they're gross because I've had so damn many.

After my last post, about...

You know THE Emotion Eric? I'm a long time fan of that page! Mmm...Jelly beans. I agree about the music. No genre can be completely dismissed.

Woo, I just found out Clancy Brown (aka. The Kurgan from Highlander) does the voice of Mr. Krabbs in Spongebob Squarepants. Talk about not being typecast.

Morgan's adoration of Nick Drake got me to finally listen to some of his stuff, and I was really impressed. I thought I already listened to all the greatest folk music of the 20th century, but I somehow overlooked...

This is a dubious first post in your journal, but I like a Barbra Steisand song, "Ms. Marmelstein". I like a lot of Phil Collins. Some Billy Joel. Pop music n junk. "Dirrrty" by Aguilera. I used to like Britney Spears but now that seems just too much. Too wrong.
