Who cares? It already happened.
You should, because Condoleeza Rice, then our National Security Advisor, testified that all documents warning about the attacks were "historical in nature" - i.e., that they indicated that al Qaeda was dangerous and had threatened to attack the U.S. in the past. In fact, the documents (which were being suppressed until just recently) indicated that there were going to BE attacks.
Don't let our rulers get away with lying in your face. They're spending your money and yanking your chain - let other people know that they can do something about it.
What can I do? I'm just one person!
Do any one of the following:
- Write to congress - It's easy! Just enter your zip code at the top and they'll give you the email address of your state senators and congresspeople, and even that of the president himself! Don't worry about what to write - just tell them how feel about all this, in your own words.
- Tell a friend - Just tell a friend, preferably one who doesn't know as much about this stuff, how pissed you are about what our administration is doing to us.
- My favorite: Hit them in their wallets - Don't buy from any of these companies - because when you do, you're putting money in the pockets of individuals who are going to take your money anyway and spend it on a war that's killing your countrymen for no good reason. Republicans looooove their money, so stick it to 'em by making 'em lose a little. My personal favorites to avoid :
- Walmart : They're evil in their own right.
- Chevron : Some people think oil got us into this mess!
- Motorola & Sears : Fuck Donald Rumsfeld up!
We still run this country kids, don't forget, so get off your ass and run it!
