Went down to San Diego for Comic-Con. Met Bill Plympton, Lou Ferrigno, Matt Greoning, and a bunch of other semi-celebrities and artists.
We ended up getting kicked out of Bucca da Beppo on Sunday because we were sitting in a table reserved for publishers. There were about 100 artists and industry professionals there. We were dragged in by Emotion Eric, and I knew it wouldn't end up working out.
When we got kicked out, Scott Kurtz from PvPOnline.com gave us all kinds of dirty looks. He even gave Emotion Eric an attitude - even though he was invited.
Ah well. I'll try not to hold a personal grudge for him being a jerk.
After we went ELSEWHERE to eat, we ended up on an elevator with Robin Fucking Shou, which was double-cool because I started studying Wushu 2 weeks ago.
Finally, I gave Roman Dirge a wet-willie. If that doesn't sum up how fun it was, nothing will.
Anyhoo, the whole thing was fun. I really recommend you pick up Flight, which includes the fantabulous Derek Kirk Kim's artwork, among others. I also strongly recommend you check out Bay Area's favorites, Slave Labor Graphics.

That BBC live stuff is hip. "Stairway" sounds much more majestic with pipe organs than friggin recorders (but I guess they did IV is some rotten Welsh shack, so... no pipe organ.
