Okay, so, I LOVE Queen. The rock group, that is. They've been my favorite group since I was in 7th grade ... so, since I was 11 or something. I idolize Freddie Mercuries vocals and piano, I idolize Brian May and his echoplex (and Red Special, Woo!) I idolize Roger Taylor and his musicality, and John Deacon... well... Another One Bites the Dust.
Once I was listening to Queen in math class, and someone asked me "Are you listening to church music or something?" Multitexturing is something that doesn't sound right to people who aren't used to it -- I just scoffed and said, "No way, what you're hearing is Prophet Song by Queen. They layer harmony on harmony so they create a choral effect."
"Sounds like church music to me."
GRRRRR!
