I sit down to write this on occasion, and trying to think of stuff to say reminds me of how incredibly boring my life can be. Normally I'd write my thoughts on something or about music and stuff, which can be sorta interesting I guess. But just talking about stuff that happens...
It's interesting to me, the way this kind of interaction works. That dozens to hundreds of people (SG members) can talk about what's going on in their lives or what they think, and dozens to hundreds of other people (other SG members) can feign or have an actual interest in what they're saying and respond. It's a commerce of words and thoughts that feeds on itself for growth.
Can that many people actually be interested in what other random people they've never known say? Are they starving for approval? Struggling for popularity? Are they antisocial folks who find it easier to maintain friendships online than in real life? Do they worry about what people online think about them?
See, this is what I mean. Boring. But it's interesting to me.
