oh sweet jesus....

i just had my first impromptu bbq with my roommate and a friend of mine. we were sitting around smoking pipes in the backyard talking about theatre, music, life, food....oh food.....

then the neighbor started grilling....

"does anybody else want some steak" i asked...

we walked to the grocery store, bought some t-bone steaks, corn, a plantain, some kiwi and mango...

i got to use my gourmet steak rubs, grilled the corn with a homemade spice mix, grilled the plantain with some sliced kiwi and made a fruit salad.

i'm exhausted.
i'm terribly satisfied with my cooking.
i'm awfully sad that i'm about to pass out from overeating and exhaustion and miss a birthday party.
i'm not sure what i'm cooking for breakfast tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure it starts with the letter pancake.
