Mardi Gras is near!!!
Here's the thing...living in New Orleans for most of my life, I've never really been super excited about Mardi Gras. Some years I even avoided it.
But this year is different. I'm taking a fucking road trip (which I love doing) to my hometown, my favorite city in the world, and I'm going to party with my people because it needs to be done.
I leave Thursday from work, then I have to fly back on Monday (due to scheduling mishaps and the illiteracy/ineptitude of one of my traveling companions...not you Salome), so I will end up missing Mardi Gras day. BUT...I still get to rock out the entire weekend to some of the best parades of the season.
I can't wait!
