first, thanks for the compliments on my fire-ball head! you are one sweet chica.
And I do love havin' red hair too, but sometimes the maintenance really gets to me, dying it every darn month, especially now that my hair is long, ugh! Thankfully my mum helped me last time i had to dye it.
But yr right, the whole waiting for yr hair grow out from being dark totally blows!! Sometimes I am too impatient though and I bleach it a little to lighten it for dying red---which is totally bad.
Oh what a dilemma!
BTW I read yr last journal a few days ago about the whole shopping addiction thing, and I'm sorry to hear it got so out of hand. I hope you are working thru it okay. I feel ya' on that though -- i get these impulsive bouts and go on spending sprees too, then i always feel like such a materialistic bitch afterwards. I can't say i've totally abandoned spending too much money on stuff, but I try and be concious of what I'm spending when I am shopping, like I try to think of how will i feel after I buy this item, do I really want/need it, or am I just buying something for the sake of buying it? Sometimes this helps, but other times the "high" of shopping over takes you, especially when it comes to shoes, make-up/hair products, and handbags (for me anyway)!!!
