I'm trying hard not to get a cold. My throat hurts and I'm coughing. 
In other news, the rally for Marriage Equality was pretty damned awesome. There was a guy there who stood up and said that he was there because not so long ago there were laws preventing him and his wife from getting married. There were a bunch of straight people there who said that thins is the civil rights movement of out generation. There was a mother who brought her two children and said that she didn't know who her children would grow up to be and she wanted to make sure that whoever they were, they would have equal marriage rights. It felt good knowing that there are people out there who care about this cause as much as I do.
I am going to sign up for a two day seminar that will teach me to teach others about the importance of marriage equality. My partners daughter is going as well. For some sad reason our government feels as though a civil rights issue needs to be voted on, and an amendment to the constitution is set for 2006. Recent polls show that a little more than half of the population believes that everyone should have equal marriage rights. I hope the vote turns out that way.
The guy who talked about him and his wife not being able to marry not that long ago saw me with my camera and gave me his card. He hosts a site that allows artists to show their work free of charge. I thought that was pretty cool.
So, I've got about half of one essay done. 2 1/2 to go.

I actually had to knit it twice but about a month of free time I guess - I had to keep going back and forth to the designer so we could get over various problems with resizing it for the larger lady.
I love it.
