A group of seven survivors of a nuclear (that's new-klee-r in case, by some odd chance, Dubya is reading my journal) holocaust is gathered in a bomb shelter that contains enough provisions for six months for six people. One survivor, therefore, must leave. Which one of the group should go?
The survivors include:
A senator (age 55) and his wife (age 35) to whom he is very attached. He is active in Pentagon activities. He has a heart condition that requires medication, and he only has a three-month supply. His spouse is a housewife who has never worked outside the home.
A male college student (age 19) who is physically incapable of doing hard labor.
A policewoman (age 30) who is unable to have children. She is an expert in karate.
A cocaine addict (age 25) who is five months pregnant.
A male author (age 43) who is an expert in the Russian language.
A Woman (age 63) who is a physical fitness expert and vegetarian.
Your task:
Decide which person must leave the shelter. Make sure you consider all of the above and have good reasons for excluding the person you have chosen.
