We decided today on the laproscopic hysterectomy. Scary shit man. She has surgery on the 29th of December. The doctor was really cool though. I asked her if there was going to be any problems with my being recognized as the "spouse". She said that as far as she was concerned there would be no problem. She said that she feels like no matter what people are people and deserve respect and that she would treat us with respect. It was very touching. When we left the office I felt a little more at ease.
On a lighter note I have decided against the "under your bed" theme for my photo final. It seems that my friends don't have that much under their beds except dust and dust really isn't photographicaly inspiring. So here's my new idea....I am going to do a series of portraits of my friends holding "labels." One guy will hold a sign that says "queer" another "christian" another "wiccan" and so on. Then I will photograph all of them together all holding a sign that says "american". Also, I thought that I might include a group photo with them holding someone elses label. I'm not sure if I can get the christian girl to hold the queer label but we'll see.
