Today is my girlfriends 43rd birthday. Damn she's old. Nobody thinks she's her age though, she looks more like 30ish. That's probably a good thing since people think I'm 20ish.
I'm torn between getting her a gift and taking her out to dinner with the family. I've been telling her since my birthday that I'm not getting her anything but I just can't do that. See, she didn't get me anything for my birthday, not even a stinking card. And she works at a store that sells cards!
I thought about making dinner reservations at Olive Garden cuz they have some veg food there, then taking her to a movie. She's been asking for Charlie and the Chocolate factory though, so I don't know.
What do you guys think? Dinner and a movie with the family or presents that she can open?
And just out of curiosity, what is your fondest birthday memory?

I remember one birthday i had to work and i got home and my husband had made this cake for me. I think it was like the first cake he had ever made it was lopsided and so adorable... it really was the cutest thing, he totally made my day...
