I'm lame ... I have to work all day Sunday. And Saturday, well today, is pretty shot with random things I have to do and I have to go to see my friend that I work with's band at night.

OK so I think I may invest in an ipod. only problem i know nothing about them really. is a mp3 player better? help me out here. I know someone out there knows. i'll love you forever if you tell me

Well, if you get an iPod you need to also download iTunes. it's free and automatically syncs with your PC (Remember to get a PC iPod, not a Mac one). I think iPods are great, they come in various sizes (4 gigs to 40 gigs) and now are color and store photos. They are sleek, and very user friendly.
the biggest downside I find is they are (like most portable devices) hard on their internal battery. It will go from about 12 hours charged to 6 in about 10-12 months if you are playing it a lot. if you do decide to get one, buy it at Best Buy and get the extended plan for it. Best buy will REPLACE the device for you when it breaks (and it will, because I consider battery degradation to be "breaking"). if you buy through another vendor they may just say to use apple's warranty, which is 90 days only.
But again, the battery issue is something ALL devices with internal batteries have. But for ease of use and design I don't think the iPod has been beat yet.
