My brother came to visit the city for a while...he's sixteen and totally enamored of the whole New York lifestyle. I had to inform him that I am really not part of that. I am neither cosmopolitan, nor metropolitan, nor any other "-opolitan": I mostly just laze about chain-smoking and drinking a bit too early in the day.
I took him around, though, kinda...For example, there was an ill-fated trip to the Natural History Museum (apparently he's not huge on semi-geeky stuff like I am...p.s. dinosaurs and iMax shows rock me hard.) The 4th was nice though; ferry out to good ol' Staten, drink with friends, watch the fireworks, etc.
Okey dokey, so that's what I've been up to. Enough about me, though, what about you? (I mean, "you" plural, obviously. English is a rather blunt language.)
