Whoa it looks like they updated the userpage format a little bit. I like this.
I went to a local hardcore show tonight, it was a sort of 'battle-of-the-bands' competition, to decide who would open for From Autumn to Ashes.
I'm dissapointed in this town's hardcore music scene. For 2 reasons.
1.) The people. Everyone is elitist. If you don't fit the uniform, you're not hardcore enough. If you don't have your tight jeans with a pink scarf in the back pocket and a Converge shirt, you're not worthy of keeping people's company. It's lame. The scene isn't about the comapny you keep, it's about the music. And people get together because they share a common interest in the music, not because they have the same dyed-black, swept to the side haircut.
2.) The bands themselves. It's either trite, unoriginal Poison the Well and Converge rip-offs, or a band that cares more about their image than the way they sound. It's ridiculous. I don't the local flash-in-the-pan mediocre band that puts on a good live show, but that's all the bands here in Boise are. And the majority can't even offer a good live show. It's more entertaining watching the kids dance.
But, it instills confidence in me and my band, that my music project is going to be alot better. In this dead local scene, anyways.

yea concerts now a days are pissen me off real bad like cuz all they care about is weather they sell the tickets and when they get paid is adn that aint cool
