SEATTLE spreads

SEATTLE verticals

SEATTLE squares

Hi, long time no see.
speak. read.
long time no read.
I went to seattle for a friend's birthday.
ended up bloodiest i've ever been.
In a cabin on a mountain.
at least we kept our minds off the snow.
um,
during the first night at the cabin,
the birthday boy and i got a little rowdy,
and I did my best chris farley.
over the coffee table
knocking glasses onto the floor,
breaking them and landing in the glass
cutting head, hand, knee and ass!
it was a lot of fun,
we sobered up pretty quick,
no stitches as we were all trashed and too far away
plus i'm stubborn.
(though i don't believe that) wink
anyway i got the bleeding under control and we went hiking the next day,
(as seen in the steppy, mossy, pathy photos)
and it was awesome and beautiful
(in a place of gods and demons kindof way)
and our group split up, the mostly unfit and inexperienced zoomed ahead, "hiking" while the cool kids took it slow and looked around. by the time we caught up to the noobs, they were exhausted and ready to die. It was the easiest trail in the world, but I think the most excercise these kids get is when they park too far from the drive in window and have to open the door or reach really far for their bag o' death.
anyway, they're on thier way back, in TEARS and such bad vibes, we rescue the remaining coolness from thier group andmoments after they're gone, whatever naughty forest spirit had been following them sprang up and pranked us because our dog ran away and my hand opened up simultaneously. It was weird, just hot, then wet, then gushing.
it was beautiful all that bright red in the forest, i put many drops on the biggest leaves I could find and wanted to take a picture, but couldn't operate my camera, none of the remaining friends would either. In fact it reminded me that I kept asking people to take pictures of the carnage the night before too, and none got taken. That I was the coolest about things either means that I'm at a good level of mortality awareness, and able to quell panic and recognize the presence and absence of danger, or am in a bad level of recklessness and self destructivity and should watch out.
I'll pay attention to both.
It was really pretty though, and I'm likely to never see anything like that again. I worked on a crime scene themed shoot for wallpaper and we had all this fake blood and it looked good, but not real. seeing it up close, it was cool.
It was mine and though it sucked to get hurt, there was no tragedy, it was part of life and beautiful.
I'm going to stop rambling.
Seattle was beautiful,
the parks,
the people,
the friends,
the places,
the weather, (rainy and sunny)
the topography,
I would live there if I could support myself.
many people do that can't..
ok.
hope you're all well.
i count this as my first official journal entry since 4th grade.
lousy journals.

oh, the night shots were from a night hike a few days later up to rattlesnake ledge, we brought flashlights but barely used them and it was beautiful.
fullish moon, the night before the solstice, good photos and a cold beer at the top. (hooray for modern tech)
as we were packing up some kids showed up for the solstice
we were happy to keep the mountain warm for them and whatever they had planned for dawn.
they had a lot of stuff.
you make the call.
ok.
tell me something.

Flash zombie survival games become stupid when it gets to the point that they are no challenge at all any more yet still I will piss away my entire day playing them when I should be cleaning.... Cleaning for a party where there will be a zombie movie marathon.
