See, maybe I'm more cynical than you, but I don't think that the lack of people eating whale meat will stop it. Because it's not the average citizen they care about selling it to, it's the rich people with nothing better to do with their money. The meat is very expensive, which is a big reason why no one in Japan eats it.

PS, thanks for the optimistic view though, even when I say this (^) it doesn't mean that I don't like what you said. I very much prefer it.
