So, I did this whole graduating from college thing, and I'm thinking: Now what? I mean, is this really going to help me make more money. I doubt it. I don't feel any smarter. I don't feel any wiser. I don't feel any better at doing a job. The only thing I feel is that I've been hoodwinked. I'm still the same loser I was a two weeks ago, but now I can say I graduated from college. I got a BA in BS.

I put the alumni license plate frame on the back of my car yesterday. I'm not even sure why. I went to school in the city where I've lived my entire life. Everbody around here went to SJSU. It's not like it's even a top tier school. It's just boring old San Jose State. Does that really mean enough for me to broadcast it to every schmuck that rides behind me on the freeway or pulls up behind me at a stop light. Maybe if I moved to Maryland people might see it and go, "Oh. I wonder where that school is."

Of course my mom and grandparents are ecstatic about the whole thing. I'm the first person in the family to get a degree from a four year school. My grandmother is hoping that I will serve as an example to the rest of her grandkids. What she doesn't realize is that, they don't give a rat's ass about me. Not the ones that she wants to motivate anyway. My scumbag cousins who will never amount to anything have never given a shit about what I do.

Oh well. Like my buddy Kevin says, "At least I"ll never be as fat as they are."

I hate ranting like this. But sometimes the words just want to come out, And I don't know where else to put them. I think I want to go back to bed.

Yeah, Johnny just graduated, but it really doesn't seem like much. I'll be doing it next year. I just hope we both can find a decent grad school.

Congratulations on graduating!
