One of the Portsmouth NH theater groups is stageing of an adaptation of Christina Rossetti's "The Goblin Market". Very stripped down: just the 2 actress/singers and small ensemble keyboard, percussion, violin & cello. The goblins were left to the imagination and the reactions of the actress. Well done and worth the viewing. Fun discussion afterwords on the difficulty of being on this side of the Freudian devide looking at a pre-Freudian work of such sensuality. The director and one of the actress did this back when they were in their 20's and reflected that it is a different head space doing it as a more nature women with more life experience ( don't quote me but I guestimate now early/mid 40's). So if Portsmouth NH isn't too inconvienent check it out. @NewHampshireTheaterProject through April 4th. *** Handy tip: due to the amount of Snow that we got, I had to deal with several rather sever Ice Dams on the Roof. I didn't want a lot of salt getting into the drip line. Remembered that one of the 19th cent. Arctic explorations used coal dust around the hull of the vessel to keep it from being crushed by the ice. I wanted to get something dark on the ice but what. I had a couple of bags of stale ground coffee. If you can access the roof edge or are comfortable getting on the roof, just give the dam a good covering and it will be fairly innoccuous & bio-degradeable.*** Starting to feel anticipation for the upcoming Riding season ( 30 days or so). stay excellent

That really sounds lovely; the play and the discussion that ensued.

Oh Lord, I do wish I could justify a trip to the US of A just to get a tattoo. Not sure I can, though...
