Got abit distracted looking on wikipedia
got round to looking at demonology.. thought I'd figure out how many demons in hell there are..
Here's what I found (a list of daemons and the number of legions they command)
*Eligos - 60
*Agares - 31
*Alocer - 36 legions
*Amdusias -30
*Amon - 40
*Andras - 30
*Asmodai - 72
*Baal/Bael - 66
*Balan - 40
*Barbatos - 30 +4 lutenants
*Behemoth (at least one.. referances to plural, equivalent to Lathiathan+ziz)
*Berith - 26
*Buer - 50
*Glasya-Labolas - 36
*Naberius - 19
*Flauros - 36
*Foras - 29
*Furfur - 29
*Gremory - 26
*Aim - 26
*Ipos - 36
*Malphas - 40
*Marchosias - 30 (was tricked into thinking he'd be returning with the non fallen)
*Orobas - 20
*Nybbas- 20 (at least.. he's the last major prince but isnt quoeted a number)
*Paimon - 200 (most royal king deamon)
*Pruflas - 26
*Ronove - 20
*Shax - 30
*Stolas - 26
*Gaap - 66

That suggests at least 1412 legions (I've probably missed a couple and not all the numbers are definate)
If one legion is between 4500 to 6000 people.. in this case demons..
so lets assume there is the minimal in each one at 1412 x 4500 = 6,354,000
and if they're full 8,472000
plus the 34 commanders + 4 known luitenants + 2 known deamons that don't command + 1 for Lucifer himself and not counting behemoth.. who's on earth apparently the earth equivalent of Lathiathan - water - or Ziz - sky.
that means theres at least 6,354,041 demons at least
