I'm still not digging some of the changes on this site: for instance-the updated journals...I feel like I have to go through all my friends just to see who's updated. Grrr. Any other complaints will be heard right now...
Today was a good day, all things considered. Due to miscommunication issues, a little girl showed up at Sylvan this morning for instruction when she wasn't on the schedule. Therefore, I ended up teaching 3 students instead of 2. Not usually a big deal, but the new student needed a lot of one-on-one attention, as did the high school boy who is studying Spanish. We all survived.
My summer class is very laid-back and chill. The professor told us to bring in lunch...all the assignments are pretty much informal. The course is called: Teaching and Learning Writing. Even the two required textbooks were under 50 bucks.
Sylvan in the evening was not too bad...except the owner of the company came strutting in and my tattoo was showing. I hope she's into "dreaming" and "believing". Ha. I don't give a fuck anyway. Apparently, most of my coworkers/friends had more than their share of fireworks this weekend. What is it about holidays that drive couples over the edge?
Michael and I wished each other well last night...stupid in a way since I am forced to work with him at least once a week. I don't even miss him yet...probably because I'm in denial about the whole situation. Still, I am dreading tomorrow...no one is working from 4-7 except him and I. Talk about awkward...well for me, but that's because I care. Eh, I should've listened to my friend when she said that dating him was impossible--he's just as "mysterious" (gag) as a friend. I imagine that if he ever activates his SG membership that he will not be dropping by my journal. I already warned him that this is my personal writing place and I won't be any different just because he might read my stuff.
Blah blah blah. I think it's time for me to find out about my beloved Red Sox...
