Every good tale must have its highs and lows. Which to tell first, however, is always the question.

The Good News: The interview yesterday went amazingly well! I was completely relaxed and personable throughout the ordeal. The interviewees were as follows: one elementary school principal, a parent, and thee elementary school teachers. I answered each quesstion with confidence, displayed proof using my portfolio when necessary, and I was even asked to leave some portions of my portfolio with them so that they could be examined. I left with a HUGE smile on my face, just knowing that I had done my very best.

Hmmmm...Brett got out of work today at noon, so he and I got to run some "married" couple type errands together..."Hey, honey, do you wanna go to Wal-Mart and buy cleaning products for my car"? We also went to a pet store just to see the puppies. I can't wait to get my own someday. I really like Boggles, Black Labs, and Golden Retrievers. We were supposed to go to Triple A to see about renting a hotel for our mini-vacation to Six Flages New Jersey in August, but the heat was icky and we were spent.

Also, the head of the Special Education department at Rhode Island College is going to try and help me get my certification in Special Ed without having to get my Master's degree in that field. I am already more than halfway done with my M. Ed in Elementary Education and a Special Education certification would make me golden.

The Bad News: I had a bit of a falling out with a friend I met through this site. It started off with a message in which I was given advice that I DID not ask for. I completely appreciate honesty, BUT everyone knows that some topics shouldn't be discussed unless permission is granted. For example, I would never tell a girl friend or boy friend of mine that she or he should or needed to break up with a significant other. Unless someone is being physically, mentally, or emotionally abused, their relationship is their business. When I replied to this person, a positive outcome was not obtained, and I think it's best if we end the friendship for the time being. Because of distance issues, we can't just talk about it, and no two people who have never met in person should be that upset over something like this. He is a great person and I miss him already!

Let's see...I really, really, REALLY want to go see The Lake House this weekend. I heard it is confusing, but who cares! It's a love story with Sandra Bullock...bring it on!

Love,
Fenway kiss

Interviews that go well - with a smile on your face afterwards - that's like the greatest feeling. I had those after interviewing at Yahoo and Google.
