The school is teach at is having a Professional Day, albeit a religious one. The faculty and staff are going to Bristol for a retreat. Because of the short notice, I don't have to go! Now I can spend a few hours in my classroom setting up for next week, get my nails done, and then head to Sylvan for day 4 of that work week.

I miss my friend Michael a lot. Even though I said that we ended our friendship, we had patched our differences yet again, but this time it is MY fault. Sometimes I think I expect too much out of friends because I trust so few people. I was frustrated with some internal policies at Sylvan and I just wanted to vent my feelings. Well, Michael used to the the Director of Education there so I guess he naturally got defensive. But it was definitely my big mouth and immaturity that pissed him off. He really is an awesome person and I love him as a person. I can kind of tell that things are different now. We do argue a lot though anyway. Three days ago we found out that his ex (who is an old friend of mine from high school and an employee at Sylvan) has a new boyfriend. Although Michael and Tara broke up like 6 months ago, it was due to lack of communication, not feelings. If I had been friends with Michael at the time, maybe I coud have helped. Another argument ensued when I said I felt sorry for everyone involved. I don't know. At least things were very civil and pleasant at work last night. I don't think we dislike each other, we just have disagreements and I unfortunately am sometimes a bitch. Lesson learned.
