My good friend, the one whom I've known longer than any friend I've had, and the only one whose friendship didn't go completely sour after our relationship (a series of them, even) ended, is in the city for the weekend. I got her a job interview where I work. The job is essentially what she does now in publishing, and she's one of very few candidates so it's quite possible she'll move here in the near future. Seeing her again just reminds me how intelligent and beautiful she is; someone who, it seems, I've been comparing all other women to.

And reading that has just reminded me I'm a big sap.
