The RNC is in NYC -- everybody panic! 
There are no fewer than eight thousand different protests taking place. That, and everyone thinks that the entire city is going to shut down. Most people point the finger at the incoming Republicans. I think if they were being honest with themselves they'd realize it's the eight thousand different protests that will clog the cities arteries.
In other news, my roommate took part in an insanely large, two-hour bike trek around downtown that blocked traffic. He had no idea how bizarre an event he'd be participating in, he was just out to spend time with a girl.
