Thanks to all those who wished me a happy birthday. I got some neat loot. Highlights: iPod speakers, vintage camera, Wicker Man CE DVD, and a bonsai tree.

My work comes in such odd waves that it's difficult for me to work on my own projects anymore, which is one of the reasons I wanted to work from home in the first place. It's possible that my job with one of the clients will become full-time in the near future, and I'm mixed about that. Job security is super and all, but that means I'd have to go into the office, and have even less time for personal or outside projects.

When I worked as an editor for an Indian tv show, I ended up with two hours of sleep for a while due to a project I was finishing for DH comics. Right now I've got a lot on my plate: a comic strip, a full-length comic, a children's book, a children's poetry book, plus two screenplays (a feature and a pilot) that I have to re-write before I go to a workshop in July. And to top it all off, I have no clue how to take care of a frikkin' bonsai tree.

Fer cripe's sake... I need to prioritize.

I used to be an editor at a place where my boss had literally about 2,000 DVDs. One day he put on the Wicker Man soundtrack and when I asked about it, he told me all about the movie. He let me borrow the Special DVD in the wooden box. I watched it. By the end, I was so fucking mad. All the bad guys get away with everything! I understand it's a great tale and all that, but I didn't get it. But I watched the extras and saw that there were a lot of people who did. Happy Birthday.
