Last night I had an interesting conversation with my roommate. "Why would anyone keep an online journal?" he asked. "Fifteen minutes of fame, maybe?" I replied. But I'm not sure that's entirely true. I've never kept one, so maybe trying to maintain one here will illuminate me.
I just got back from a weekend in Buffalo with my relatives -- my grandmother's 85th birthday. There's this whole fiasco on my father's side of the family where people are vying for rank in the family heirarchy. Ours, thankfully, refrains from the competition and is chastized for it in a way. I had fun regardless.
Also -- it freaks me out that some of my cousins are growing up. And one of them looks remarkably like Uma Thurman.

haha thats funny that you mention the dog at the grassroots tavern. i love how they have animals just wandering around in there. the popcorn is pretty good too. yeah, i've had some dates like that. i had one where i spent more time with this 32 yr old gay guy that kept offering to pleasure me orally. gotta love when dates go that well.

Family heirarchy. All too familiar with that crap. I hear ya. My "little" cousin is a bookish Natalie Portman. Scary, scary shit. Too bad we ain't in Kin-tucky.
