It's a new year, and it's all going to change for me on the 10th. I've been hired on as the primary illustrator for an educational company I've been freelancing for. Fortunately, this means a steady, regular paycheck and some great health benefits. Unfortunately, this means I'll have to come into the office (I've likened the situation to a kid who's been home-schooled finally going off to school with other kids. Should be interesting seeing how responsibility suits me). This, in turn, means less time to work on comics.
My plan is to stop doing my own artwork, save the stories that it's best suited for, and start finding artists whose style serves the stories I write. Five of them to work on this year, plus two that aren't my own. It'll be a challenge, but I think that's just what I need to push myself toward my ultimate goal of writing and drawing children's books.
Hope everyone has a prosperous new year of their own
