Not only am I still alive...

But I almost wasn't.

On Friday at around five twenty in the morning:

While I was working, locked in the building, a car smashed through the glass doors of the building as a break in attempt. I was close enough to see the doors flying in while the monstrous crashing sound assailed my ears. Hollywood. Then my co-worker started to run and I did as well. I ran to the break room where there was a couple of locking doors and a phone. I didn't see where my co-worker ran, turned out the bathrooms. I called his name a couple of times hoping he would run to where I was. Gave up on that, closed the door and phoned 911. Eventually cops came. Sadly I am no longer in the adrenal/endorphin high state so I don't love EVERYTHING any more. And I am in pain. Probably just from the work but maybe from muscle tension and the olympic record dash.

I'm perfectly fine though. I'm happy that I reacted so well to the situation. Interestingly this is the second time I have been at a work place and had criminals breaking through glass doors.
