Saw the Lion King at Lyceum Theatre today. I wish I was 9 again so I could have really enjoyed it; damn this adult perspective. I just couldn't focus on the humans toting around lion heads and other animal costumes.

Yeah... It didn't work for me either. I hate seeing precious theatre space dominated by commercial retreads. Musicals can be ok, but I prefer hard core drama.

I thought the Lion King was pretty damn epic when I saw it about a decade ago - I really want to see it again! I really should go to the theatre more often x
