Sooo a few people caught my dumb bogus journal entry (although only a few of those actually caught it... ).



But yeah. Pretty lame, I apologize Although I really did look wicked cute today. I was trying to think of something mean to call my mom with for April Fool's Day, as is my custom, but all of the things that came to mind immediately were true, and some of them she already knows and is okay with anyway...so I just gave up. Plus I'm mean enough to her as it is, I don't need a special holiday. The last time I flew home I called her from the terminal and told her that my plane had been forced to make an emergency landing and I was stranded in a field in New Orleans. She totally went for it. Hilarity. Remember kids: it's only fun if you make the other person cry. This also applies to sex.

So...I've been writing again! For the first time in months. I'm really excited. It hasn't been much, but it's happening. I was so fucking productive all of yesterday actually...maybe it was some burst of pre-menstrual creativity or something...I've never heard of that before, but I could be a trendsetter.



I had a wonderful critique from my drawing teacher...it made me so happy, especially because I tend to think of drawing as not a strong point of mine. And because it should equal a good grade. So yay. And I mailed two care packages. And made tiny dog clothing. And FINALLY finished Laputa's throw pillow! Drew696, yours is about half way done I spent so much fucking time on that first one though, seriously. Honestly I wasn't entirely pleased with how it turned out (I finished it off a bit sloppily...hand-sewing is NOT my strong suit) but everyone I've shown it to has flipped out, so it can't be as bad as I think (just kidding hun...aside from one sloppy corner it looks gorgeous, if I may say so myself...)

I also made a cartoon of myself in Illustrator...it's not great...I may go back to it at some point and fine tune it, add skin tones, etc, but it wasn't really intended to be a full on project, just some fun on a whim. I got fucking lazy on the hat though. I do want to add a pirate ship in the background at some point

There was grilled cheese for lunch today. It was ten kinds of delicious. I went shopping a little bit, I had to buy a lamp because my roommate and I are probably going to split into singles (we love each other plenty...we just love singles more) and I've just been greedily enjoying the light from hers all this time. I also had to buy more bowls so I'll be able to feed minimalism909...I have a feeling me owning more than one bowl is going to be dangerous business...at least with my way I had to do the dishes if I wanted to eat. I also stole some silverware from the dining hall for his visit. I know, I know, I'm going above and beyond my call of duty as a host, but that's just the kind of person I am. If you spoil me to death by waking me up fresh homemade breakfast three days in a row, I will steal silverware for you. Even if you beg me not to. Now I'm off to disappear into the night, never to be heard from again. Until maybe later.
