Just got back from Gull Lake Conference for Young Writers in Michigan, it was /incredible/. I got to see Savannah and Kate which was loverly and I met some very nice people and got a lot of writing done and just had a fantastic time. I will post some writing in the future (that is a threat and a promise).
My hip piercings rejected while I was there
I was hoping for like a month but they started rejecting after about a week and a half so I had to take them out. I was in the middle of nowhere Michigan at a writing seminar when it happened and I couldn't get them unscrewed, so I had to ask the teacher for a pair of needle nose pliers and all he had were these really big, rusty ones. It was terrifying. But with the help of those and a bottle of rubbing alcohol I managed to get them out. Lupin is lonely now But they were great while they lasted, and I may try to make a trek up to Boston and go the tygon route when I get them repierced, or take just find a place that stocks 90 degree surface bars, even if I don't get a discount.
Umm what else to tell...I had to switch flights when my flight got delayed and I got a free upgrade to first class which was not as exciting as it should have been but still cool. Read Rosemary's Baby. Good book, fucking wierd though. Saw Anchorman again. God, I love that movie. Saw Down With Love which is one of my new favorite movies.
Um that's all for now I guess. Going to see Bourne Supremacy and eat sushi with Jane after work tomorrow. Feel like I had more to say but I guess I'll say it later.

Goddamit, my free membership ran out and I had to buy 3 more months. I'm still waiting to hear back on my latest set, I sent them a friendly little reminder email the other day cuz it's been about a month and a half or something now. If I hear back tomorrow that I got in, I'm gonna be pissed off at wasting 20 bucks.
Oh, who am I kidding. I'm going to be thrilled I just made 300 and finally made it.
